Shanelle Harrison is an educator, artist, and the founder of Curious Colors, an educational brand dedicated to helping young children develop essential early literacy skills through creativity and play. With a background in the visual arts and art education, Shanelle has seen firsthand the impact of arts integration on learning and child development.
As a former public school art teacher, she recognized the growing gap in early childhood literacy due to the decline of art programs in schools. Determined to make a difference, she created Curious Colors, a brand that combines engaging visuals, hands-on activities, and educational strategies to support children in mastering foundational skills like shape and color recognition—key building blocks for reading and cognitive development.

Philosophy & Mission
I created this book to merge my passions for visual art and teaching children. As an educator, my goal is to inspire students to embrace freedom of expression by enhancing their self-confidence and artistic consciousness so they become better citizens of the world.
